Psych works across painting, sculpture, pencil drawing, and digital art, with a particular interest in mixed media and jewelry making. Under the name psych, that practice connects a love of making things with an interest in stories, imagination, and how people experience the world.
Art has been part of Psych 's life for as long as they can remember. Creating pieces with stories offers a way to express that imagination. Sharing the work with more people, and encouraging them to create something themselves, is a longtime goal.

The name psych draws from several influences. One is psychology, a subject Psych enjoys learning about and says informs some of the work. Another is an interest in the history and cultural uses of psychedelics. Through researching that history, Kaylee discovered the teachings of Ram Dass.
Kaylee describes those teachings as an important influence on their outlook, relationship with themselves, and perception of the people and world around them. That influence carries into both the art and the name behind it.
Psyche is another reference. Psych connects the figure with the human soul and the idea of being guided by love, adding another meaning to psych.
“No Exit” extends those ideas. For Kaylee, the phrase means there is no escape from the present moment. It is about being here now, approaching life with openness, and using experiences, including difficult ones, to move forward.
The submitted images bring a physical, handmade element to this introduction: notebook lines, bold lettering, drawings, and arrangements of printed imagery. They offer a glimpse into the visual material Kaylee chose to share alongside the ideas behind psych.
